In a previous article, I talked about content consumers. Well, content producers are the ones feeding these content consumers!
As a content producer, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype of social media outlets. I believe social media outlets are there to build relationships and facilitate conversations. However, before you can even do these things, you need something to talk about!
As a content producer, what should I talk about?
Okay, I’m going to tell you to go offline with your laptop! Before you get caught up in how many followers you have on twitter, or who’s ‘facebooking’ you, take 2 steps back.
- Did you find your niche yet? Once you know what niche you want to build on, you can start building content around this.
- Stop following what everyone is saying and doing. Marketing analysts wouldn’t agree with me but I do have a point!
- Dig deep down inside and start contextualizing your original ideas around your specific niche. Content producers, your ideas spawn in words before taking any other form
- Write your heart out! When you have enough content, you can start putting it up on your blog. Content rich blogs always are more pleasing to visitors than bland, bleak sites.
